What are we voting for?

  • Budget: The public will be voting on a proposition to collect property taxes within the Williamson School District to fund the Williamson Public Library.  The library tax and expenses are not part of the school district’s budget. The Library has not had an increase in levy since 2015. The proposed increase is 3% or $13,143.00 and remains within the Library's NYS Tax Cap.

Vote Information

  • Proposed 2027 Budget

  • Public Information Session: May 12, 2026, at 6:00 pm at the Williamson Public Library, 6380 State Route 21, Suite 1, Williamson, NY 14589

Library Facts

  • The Williamson Public Library has not had an increase in funding since 2015 (11 years). The rising cost of library operations, increases in NYS minimum wage, utilities, and library materials requires an increase of $13,143 at this time to the levy. The increase remains within the Library's NYS Tax Cap due to the Library not having a levy increase since 2015.
