Upcoming Children's Programs and Updates:

September 2026:

We are having a pause in some of our weekly programs, see the Library's Facebook page and online calendar for updates.

Storytime with Ms. Kate is paused September 7th-September 14th. Weekly programs will resume on September 21st.
Baby Storytime with Ms. Kate is paused September 10th-October 1st. Weekly programs will resume on October 8th.
Music and Movement is paused September 11th-October 10th. Weekly Programs will resume on September 25th.
September Grab and Go Craft Kit, Windcatcher Fishy! Kits will be available on September 15th. Reserve your kit at the desk or online today!

Movie Monday and Game On! Watching The Super Mario Galaxy Movie (2026)

October 12th, 1:00pm-3:30pm

Please note that this film is rated PG. Participants are welcome to bring blankets and pillows to make a cozy watching experience. Popcorn will be provided. Registration is requested, but not required. After the movie we will have Mario games in the program room and at our new Nintendo Switch Kiosk! This program was made possible in part by RRLC.

October's Grab and Go Craft is a Coffee Filter Bat

Trick or Treat Storytime. OCtober 26th, 10:30am-11:30am. Wear your costume and join us for stories and trick ot treating! This event is sponsored by the Friends of the Williamson Public Library.

Our Annual Trick or Treat Storytime!

October 26th, 10:30pm-11:30pm.

Stop in for a very special Storytime with Ms. Kate! At this Storytime we will read some books and we will get to trick or treat with our community partners in the library and then we will visit our friends in the town office. No registration required. Participants are welcome to wear costumes and to bring their trick or teat buckets. For ages 0-5 and their families/caregivers.

Halloween Dance Party!

October 30th, 10:30am-11:30am.

It’s a kiddy party! Instead of our regular Music and Movement program, Ms. Kate is hosting a Halloween Party for ages 0-5 with their families/caregivers! There will be a sensory bin, music, snacks, and more! Participants are welcome to wear a Halloween costume. No registration required.

Kid's Craft Night!

November 10th, 5:00pm-7:00pm.

Stop in and make some Thankful Turkeys with us! Drop in anytime during the program to make this craft. All ages are welcome, younger participants may need caregiver assistance.

Dinosar Adventure Show!.png

Dinosaur Adventure Show!

November 14th, 11:00am-12:00pm.

Paleontologists Mike and Roberta Straka are returning to the Williamson Public Library! At the Dinosaur Adventure Show there will be an Albertosaurus skull and we will learn about the carnivore and examine the characteristics of this dinosaur. Audience members will experience the thrill of digging up a Triceratops dinosaur bone and the help construct a dinosaur on a large cut out! In addition, Mike and Roberta will set up a mini museum showcasing photos and minerals from their summer digs in South Dakota! Registration is requested, for ages 5-13 and their caregivers.

Snack and Movie Night! A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving (1973)

November 24th, 6:00pm-6:30pm

This month we are going to have a special snack to go with our movie! We are going to have a Charlie Brown Thanksgiving feast to go with our movie! Registration is requested, but not required.

Baby and books with flowers. Baby Story Time with Ms.Kate 10-10:30 am on most Thursdays. Program is for birth to age 24 months.

Story Time with Ms. Kate

Every Monday 10:30-11:00 Ages 0-5

Join Ms. Kate and a wonderful group of friends to read story's, sing songs, and have fun! No registration required.

Game On Every Monday 4:00-4:50 Ages 5+. Join in the fun of group gaming with friends on the Library's big screen with Nintendo Switch. The Library supplies the console, controllers, and games. Space is limited to the number of controllers we have. 

Baby Storytime with Ms. Kate 

10:00-10:30. Ages Birth-24 months

A lap sit program for the community's littlest residents and their caregivers. We will read a story, sing songs, have interactive finger plays, and  more! This program is best suited for ages birth to 24 months.

Music and Movement 
Every Friday
10:30-11:00

Ages 0-5

A fun and active program for littles and their caregivers to let the wiggles out. We do sign along, dancing, and even a little yoga!

Movie Night! 

Last Tuesday of the Month 5:30pm-7:30pm

Come to the Library to watch a fun movie with friends! We will be showing a movie on the last Tuesday of each month, to find out what our next movie is please call the Library at 315-589-2048. Feel free to bring pillows and blankets to be comfy as you watch the movie. Registration requested.

Each month the Library offers the community a new Grab and Go Craft. The Crafts will be available for pick up the third Tuesday of each month. 

Search and Find

Each month there are 10 new hidden pictures throughout the Children's area. complete the check list of items and you can receive a small prize. Only eligible for one prize per month
