Summer Reading 2026!
June 27th-August 8th

What is Summer Reading?

During Summer Reading you can sign up for our annual reading challenge! When you sign up you'll be given a reading log. For every 15 minutes you read you mark it on your log. Once you have completes 5 hours of reading you can bring your log back to the library and spin the Prize Wheel for a small prize and enter into one of our grand prize raffles!

What's the challenge? 

Last year during the summer reading program our community read for 4,165 hours! We would like to see if together our community can read even more!

How do I Sign Up?!

Stop into the library with a parent or guardian and sign up at the desk! We are kicking off the Reading Program at our Summer Reading Party on June 27th! Anyone that signs up to participate on the first day will get entered into a raffle to win a Seabreeze day pass. Thank you Seabreeze for donating this awesome prize!

Summer Reading Party! Special Guest the Seneca Park ZooMobile! Saturday June 27th 11:00am-1:00pm. Zoomoblie 11:00-12:00 Ice Cream 12:00pm-1:00.
Red, White, and Blue Tie-Dye Tuesday June 30th. 12:00am-1:00pm. No registration required. To Participate bring a washed, white, cotton t-shirt.
Magic Show with the Great and Powerful Dave. Friday July 10th 2:00pm-3:00pm. Registration is requested but not required. to sign up visit our online calendar or call 315-589-2048.
Dinosaur Tea Party. Saturday July 11th 11:00am-12:00pm. For ages 8 and under with their caregivers. Registration required. To sign up call 315-589 or register on our online calendar
Movie Monday watching the Good Dinosaur! Monday July 13th 1:00pm-3:00pm.
RMSC Delivers Dinosaurs! Tuesday July 14th 6:30pm-7:30pm. For ages 4-8. Registration is required. To sign up visit our online calendar or call 315-589-2048.
RMSC Delivers Rocks and Minerals! Wednesday July 15th 6:30pm-7:30pm. For ages 4-8. Registration is required. To sign up visit our online calendar or call 315-589-2048.
Crafternoon! Water Color Dinosaurs. Tuesday July 21st 2:00pm-4:00pm. Drop-in, no registration required. All ages welcome.
July Grab and Go Craft Kit. Making Q-Tip Dinosaur Skeletons. Kits will be available July 21st. To sign up call 315-589-2048 op register on our online calendar.

Tie-Dye Day! Saturday August, 8th 10:30am-1:00pm. No registration required . To participate bring a washed, cotton, t-shirt.
Movie Monday! Watching Land Before Time (1988). Monday, August 10th 1:00pm-3:00pm
Kid's Craft Night! Dinosaur Resist Paintings! Tuesday, August 11th 5:00pm-7:00pm. No registration required, drop-in any time during the program.
GCVM 19th century games Movable Museum. Wednesday August 12th 11:00am-12:00pm. For grades 5-adult. Registration required. To sign up call the library at 315-589-2048 or register through our online calendar.
